Art With Heart New Year Retreat
You are invited to join in the upcoming Art With Heart New Year Retreat!
Who is invited? Adults interested in a fun and relaxing atmosphere with a willingness to explore something new. We will connect with self and others through art. No experience in making art is necessary! This retreat is about slowing down and connecting your body, mind and spirit while being guided through this process using art based materials while we create in a safe and creative environment meant to nurture each individuals level of exploration. Where will this Retreat take place? The Salish Building behind the Lewis Centre in a cozy cabin near the river is where we will come together for this retreat. The cabin is equipped with a full kitchen and washrooms. What should I bring? Bring yourself, a friend, a partner, co worker or a family member that you think will enjoy sharing this retreat together. Please bring a lunch, snacks and a water bottle. Wear comfortable clothes for movement and art making and a towel, mat/cushion. Please feel free to bring anything else to make yourself comfortable for this art with heart experience! When is the Art With Heart New Year Retreat? On Saturday and Sunday January 20th and 21st from 9:00am - 3:30pm. You can choose to come for a one day retreat for $50 either day or enjoy the full retreat for only $75. This is a community program through the City of Courtenay Recreation Department. Why is this retreat being offered? To provide seasonal high quality, fun, relaxing and professionally guided art based retreats in the community with affordable pricing so everyone can take take the time to slow down and connect body, mind and spirit through making art with heart. Come relax and rejuvenate! How will we make art with heart? We will create projects focused on gratitude and positive affirmations to take home, meditative and expressionistic explorations will also be guided on this retreat to get you started on the right path this year! Supplies and professional art and mindfulness instruction are included.
