Offerings for the Estuary
The sun dances on the surface and my skin I feel the earth ‘neath my hands and feet the sounds of the estuary and humanity fill my ears the tide moves out rapidly water glistening, shining bright splashing, rushing, swirling on the rocks I close my eyes I am listening, breathing, moving the clay in my hands with each breath. I open my eyes and see the bright sun, feel it on my face and hands. I press the vessel into the earth, connecting, becoming one. We are one. I am connected. One. I hear you and you me, I leave in these vessels my pledge and prayer. The rains come and wash it away, back to the earth we are one again.
