What is an Estuary

I am so excited to share this project with you! This was a semester long project last January-April for a class about our Estuary with our extraordinary instructor Sarah VanBorek, the David Suzuki Foundation, Project Watershed and the Komok's First Nation. This incredible experience will always be a treasured memory. I collaborated with fellow Emily Carr students; Sarah Bergeron and Jessie Zelko for the semester to create and realize this project and it turned out amazing. What a great immersive experience from this course we: interviewed scientific local experts, collecting sounds, voices, video and photos, editing, and creating lyrics, soundscapes and music for the narrative of the music video we produced. I was so lucky to work with my group we named Sunday Coffee because we met on Sunday for fieldtrips, meetings and other fun stuff! I also loved creating an estuary field journal as part of the course that I am continuing to add elements, and share along the way. I love the sound studio experience actually getting to set up audio and video at a live sound stage and recording. This video is the completed piece my amazing group Sunday Coffee created to talk about our Estuary.
